Chesterton’s 296 Electro Contact Cleaner (ECC) represents the latest advance in technology toward the search for more environmentally acceptable alternatives to CFC’s, HCFC’s, PFC’s, TCE, & DCE. It is designed to replace CFC-113, HCFC-141b and other ozone deleting materials.

296 ECC is a highly effective non-corrosive, nonflammable solvent cleaner for electrical and electronic contacts and assemblies. This solvent system quickly removes light oils, particulates, fluorolubricants like Krytox® Grease, fluoropolymers and other contaminants from metal contacts. It is specifically formulated to restore and improve electrical continuity on energized equipment.

Typical applications include switches, controllers, circuit boards, contacts, levers, parts in process, motors, and plant-wide equipment.
