Name: 477-1T Pump Packing
Type: Pump Packing

Chesterton’s 477-1T is a tough yet pliable continuous filament carbon yarn packing, impregnated throughout with PTFE.  The combination of carbon yarn and PTFE dispersions increases chemical resistance for use in strong caustic and acidic mediums.

477-1T is also an excellent bottom anti-extrusion end ring in combination with 1400R. This combination is ideal for reducing or eliminating flush water from the stuffing box.

477-1T was developed for demanding applications in the pulp and paper industry such as High Pressure Feeders, Pre-Steaming Vessels and Abrasive Slurries.

  • Strong yet pliable, continuous filament carbon yarn
  • Unique inorganic blocking agent stops gas/liquid penetration
  • Non-contaminating
  • Non-staining
