Chesterton’s ARC MX1 is the most abrasion-resistant ARC composite, this highly reinforced, beaded ceramic composite is designed for areas subjected to severe abrasion. ARC MX1 can be molded to exact dimensions using conventional tooling and it is ideal for applications where abrasion-resistant alloys, ceramic tiles, or rubber liners are traditionally used for repair. 

Apllications include slurry pumps, dry particle abrasion, and wear plates.  ARC MX1 is applied to a primed surface by trowel or it may be molded where close tolerances and a smooth finish are necessary. It is chosen over ARC 890 and 897 when increased abrasion protection is required.
