ISO (International Organization
for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of
national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). ISO
standards are voluntary, developed by experts in the
industrial, technical and business sectors to be
globally relevant and represent a consensus on the state
of the art. ISO certification is determined by a
conformity assessment that checks that the scope of
registration meet the specifications of a relevant
standard.
ISO 17025:1999 (General Requirements for the
Competence of Testing Laboratories): Enables a
laboratory to develop competent testing processes which
demonstrate its ability to use competent staff with
ethical behavior and well-defined procedures to minimize
control process variation and meet customer
requirements.
ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System):
Enables an organization to develop an Environmental
policy and establish objectives and processes which take
into account legal requirements, actions needed to
improve its performance and lessen its impact on the
environment.
ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System):
